EISA(Extended Industy Standard Architecture:扩展工业标准结构)是EISA集团为配合32位CPU而设计的总线扩展标准。它吸收了IBM微通道总线的精华,并且兼容ISA总线。但现今已被淘汰。

安装 eisa 扩充卡时,您必须运行eisa 配置公用程序以避免产生配置冲突。此公用程序使您可以指定在哪一个扩充槽中插入扩充卡,并且可以从相应的 eisa配置文件中获得该扩充卡所需的系统资源信息。
现象:正在使用一个EISA系统,而且对它作了某些更改。现在,给出了一个错误信息:说第16个扩展槽存在有配置错误。
分析:任何PC机都没有16个扩展槽,出现这个故障是因为很多基于EISA的机器的一个细小的怪癖,但这个问题不是很严重,而你的硬件肯定也不会存在什么问题,所以不用对BIOS升级。
